McLaren F1

McLaren F1 is a car which holds a record of fastest street legal production car in the world. This car held this record not for one or two years but for complete eleven years since year 1994 to year 2005. This period was the longest period in the history of any automobiles.

McLaren Automotive produced this car as a subsidiary of the British McLaren Group. Today also this car is the fastest naturally aspirated car in the world.

This car has many technical aspects as follows:

Engine
The engine of McLaren F1 car is of version V12 and has the capacity of 6.1 liters which is more than other normal cars. This engine was very powerful than any other engine ever built.

Speed
Speed of McLaren F1 car is very high. It was a car which could achieve the highest speed of 371 km/h. Just because of this speed it holds the record for more than ten years.

Design
The design of this car was is not extra ordinary but it is normal, like other cars but the main thing that was considered at that time is that the car must be of low weight and must have high power.

Material
In any car, material used for making it plays an important role in its life and performance. For making this car stronger designers used the high tech and expensive materials like carbon fiber, titanium, gold, and magnesium.

McLaren F1 car was the first car of the world which used a carbon-fiber Minocqua.

Cubic Capacity
Cubic capacity of any cars affects its mileage and maintenance. If cubic capacity is higher then obviously the mileage will be higher. This car has the cubic capacity of 6064 cc.

Horsepower
Horse power of the car reflects its strength and power. We can also know about the rounds per minute capacity of the car. McLaren F1 car has the 467 KW horsepower in its road version. While in its other version this car has different horsepower.

RPM
RPM (Round per minute) of McLaren F1 car is 7400 rpm. It reflects the speed at which wheels move or take rounds per minutes.

Heat-reflector
As the body of the car is built of carbon fiber and the panels are built of monocoque it required significant heat insulation in the engine compartment. So a 25gm of gold is used in it as an efficient heat reflector.

Injectors
The fuel in engine must be atomized fully. For this an engine of this car uses two Lucas injectors cylinder with first injector located close to the inlet valve. This injector operates on low engine rpm. While another second injector located up the inlet tract operating higher rpm.

Aerodynamics
The total frontal area of the McLaren F1 car is 1.79 and the total CX is 0.57respectively. On the tail of the car there is a small rear spoiler. If we are using brakes of the car then this device will adjust the center of gravity of the car automatically and dynamically. When brake is applied this will be shifted forward.
